For most women, the Gynecologic examination is considered to be unpleasant and usually associated with anxiety, embarrassment, fear and some level of discomfort. Research has shown that the vaginal speculum and the traditional “lithotomy position” (position in which the patient is on their back with the hips and knees flexed and the thighs apart) are major factors in women’s dissatisfaction.

ODF Medical designed the G-View to improve both patient and physician wellbeing while bringing the latest technology to this most common medical procedure.

The speculum is not required when using the G-View and the examination can be performed with the patient sitting or lying down and completely covered, inducing maximum privacy and wellbeing. The incorporated mega-pixel camera and built in illumination offer the physician a clear, crisp view on a computer screen, eliminating the need to peer through the speculum. Digital storage of images captured during the examination serve as documentation for further analysis and comparison and can be shared with the patient, similar to ultrasound results.
