The G-View™ is a digital Gynecological imaging system that
provides the Obstetric and Gynecologic (Ob/Gyn) professional with the capability of performing diagnostics,
treatments, patient documentation, image management, and drug delivery using
the same device.
Although there are many potential applications, there are two main underlying
objectives behind the development of the G–View™ product line, which represent
the two main applications:
- Improving the interaction between the Primary
Gyn physician and patient during the gynecological exam, while providing
the physician a superior imaging tool.
- Simplifying and shortening the screening process
for early identification of pre-cancerous states of the cervix.
The G-View is designed to provide
a solution to meet both the Ob/Gyn physician and the patient’s main
clinical needs, while substantially improving their wellbeing. The use of the speculum is not required when using the G-View,
allowing the examination to be performed with the patient sitting or lying down
and completely covered, inducing maximum privacy. The operation of the device
is simple and intuitive, with an easy to use graphic user interface. Working channels allow insertion of tools and
accessories for standard procedures that need to be performed, such as Pap
smears, biopsies or other sample taking. Digital image storage features enable
full documentation and other DICOM compatible EMR functions. Image Augmentation
and Image Understanding capabilities afford the physician with data not visual
to the naked eye, to assist in diagnosis.
The basic G-View system
consists of a hand-held device, dedicated single use disposables, and a standard
personal or laptop computer. Specific tools and accessories for various
procedures and treatments can be added, as well as add-on software modules. The
disposable elements are designed to be price competitive with the disposable
speculum in use today.
