There are many limitations in the Laparoscopic procedure as it is performed today:
- Limited field of view for the surgeon
- A second surgeon is needed to manipulate the camera
- Poor illumination of the entire abdomen
- Hand-eye coordination is limited
- Trocar and thermal injuries
The L-View™ is a wide field of view (FOV) imaging and illumination system, that enable a constant full view of the entire abdominal cavity during Laparoscopic surgery. Automated surgeon guided video stream eliminates the need for camera manipulation and insures under vision insertion of the additional trocars.
The main benefits of the L-View system:
- No need for medical assistant during surgery
- Continuous monitoring of entire operating field
- Enhanced safety due to blunt and under vision trocar insertion
- Full documentation and telemedicine capabilities
